St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne has appointed Ravenel Mixon as director of the St. Charles Parish 911 Communications Center.
Ravenel began her career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2005 as a communications specialist.
Throughout her years in communications, Ravenel held the positions of a CTO (certified training officer), shift supervisor, shift manager, quality assurance manager and deputy director of communications.
Ravenel oversees all of the daily operations of the 911 Center, which operates around the clock with 22 employees.
The center is the initial point of contact for all calling for police, fire, or emergency medical services in St. Charles Parish and the dispatch of vital public services.
Mixon resides with her husband Shawn and five children.
