On a recent trip to the Satellite Center in Luling, R.K. Smith students Jaleah Pierre, Kalen Kinard and Michael Kinler watched and listened as Danielle Waltz, a team member in the Engineering Design Program shows her work in SolidWork, a design program used by engineers.
Stephen Johnston, the facilitator for the Engineering Design Program, answered questions from students. Eighth grade students visit the Satellite Center once of year to become familiar with the many opportunities that await them as high school juniors and seniors.
