Prom of Champions continues

The charity event, going on its fifth year in New Orleans has been financially supported by G. Smith Motorsports for the past four years.

The event benefits pediatric cancer patients in the New Orleans area who are stricken with serious blood diseases and cancer.

The Prom of Champions recently announced a new partnership with What You Give Will Grow, inspired by Thomas Morstead, helping expand the organization’s reach and extend more opportunities to teens from hospitals across the area.

The event will now support patients of Children’s Hospital, Ochsner Medical Center and Tulane Medical Center. The Prom of Champions, which is presented by G. Smith Motorsports for the fifth-straight year, provides an extraordinary prom experience at no cost to the patients or their families, including limo service for all participating patients, as well as a red carpet entrance.

“We were just stunned by the looks on the faces of the teens as they got to enjoy an event they would have missed an important part of their high school experience. We believed that their illness shouldn’t keep them from having the time of their lives, so we put our horsepower behind the Prom of Champions. G. Smith Motorsports prides itself on sharing the good fortune that we have amassed through our various companies; supporting the volunteers who took on this challenge has brought great rewards to us all,” said Gary Smith, Sr. President of the Magnolia Companies of La.
