Over 1,400 attended Krewe of Nobles

The 1,450 men of the Krewe of Nobles presented their annual Bal Masque in March at the Crystal Chandelier Ballroom. The ballroom was designed to represent “Take Me Out to the Ball Game!”

The 2011 King of the Krewe of Nobles Frank Brisset ascended his throne to await the arrival of his Queen, his daughter her Majesty Kathy Brisset Rome.

Each year, the Krewe of Nobles holds its annual Carnival ball in honor of the Jerusalem Shriners.

The Krewe would like to thank all who participated in so many ways in the planning and presentation of the ball, for making this evening such a successful event. We would also like to thank the members of the Court, who traveled from cities throughout south Louisiana to participate.

Approximately 300 local children are currently being helped through the Jerusalem Shrine Center. Jerusalem sponsors patients from the Louisiana/Mississippi border to west of Lafayette and from the Gulf of Mexico to Baton Rouge, including most of the Florida Parishes. Local children are being treated at Shriners Hospitals in Shreveport, Galveston, Houston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Philadelphia and St. Louis. All treatment, including transportation to Shriners Hospital and housing of the child and a parent during treatment, without regard to race, religion or economic consideration, is paid for by the Shriners.

The best and most advanced care available in the world for the conditions they treat is provided for these children at no cost to the child, parent or any government agency.

If you know of a child that Shriners can help, please call (985)725-1716 for information.
