Notes from Destrehan & Hahnville High Schools

DHS Winter Formal gets mixed reviews from kids who went to it

The theme for Destrehan’s annual Winter Formal dance was “Frozen in Time” and the king and queen of the evening were Tristan Babin and Brittany McCray, chosen by their classmates. Some opinions on the dance are:”It was good. The decorations and the background for the pictures were all out.” – Cayse Kingsmill

“I think the dance was okay. I really think we should get a new DJ because there aren’t enough slow-dance songs being played at our dances.

“Most of the songs are hard to dance to, especially in formal attire. So, I think we should have better music and the dances would be a lot more fun. Other than that, it was nice.” – Jessica Desselles

“It was pretty and fun.” – Kati Knight

“It was boring.” – Alaina Babin

“There were not a lot of people.” – Josh Vines

“There were not a lot of people, but it was fun.” – Jessica Neal

“It was fun until everyone started leaving.” – Danielle Rodrigue

“Needs better music.” – Daniel Goodman

“Dressing up and talking to friends was fun but nobody actually danced.” – Meghan McNamara

“They presented me with a balloon and candy. I was very excited and thankful that all of my hard work paid off.
