In 2005, Hurricane Katrina blew the annual Norco Christmas Parade away. But you can’t keep a great event down for long, and this year it was back and bigger and better than ever. Thousands of people from all over turned out for the show that began with Santa Claus landing on the east bank levee in a helicopter and ended with the Jolly Old Elf waving to excited fans – many of them children – from his sleigh. Hey, Norco – what a show. St. Charles Parish says, “Thanks – you’ve done it again!”
