Octavia Marie Cotton was born in New Orleans and has lived in New Sarpy for more than 75 years with her husband, the late Booker T. Cotton.
The couple have eight children: Cecilia, Joseph, Alfred, Pauline, Anthony, Dollie, Brenda and Jerry. She also has more than 28 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Over the years, Cotton has served her community in many generous and thoughtful ways and continues to be a faithful parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. “Jesus is the answer” is her favorite saying and how she reminds us all to put God first in our lives. To a very kind, loving and virtuous woman of God, we wish you much love and joy as you celebrate your 100th birthday.
