New Sarpy students share stories with parents, peers

Third and first grade students at New Sarpy Elementary ended their semester by sharing stories of their life with family and friends at school.

On Dec. 18, parents of 1st and third grade students joined their children at school to share breakfast and hear the stories their children had written.

Each student received a copy of a book which contained a story written by each student in the class.

Third grade students exchanged their books and signed each others, much like a yearbook.

Also like a yearbook, the first graders’ books contained a page that had every in their class’s picture on it.

The students at New Sarpy end each semester by creating books like these to help them remember what they’ve learned and what friends they’ve made that semester.
