St. Charles Parish Hospital has named Terrell Neal as chief operating and nursing officer (COO/CNO) effective May 15.
Neal most recently served as vice president of Patient Care Services at Ochsner Medical Center – Jefferson Highway.
“We are excited to have Terrell Neal join us at St. Charles Parish Hospital as the new COO/CNO,” said Austin Reeder, CEO of St. Charles Parish Hospital. “His experience in overseeing the strategic planning, direction and overall accountability for patient care services, will serve as a great asset to St. Charles Parish Hospital, as we continue in our commitment to providing the highest quality of care to the residents of St. Charles Parish.”
Neal holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi, as well as a master’s degree in of business administration with a concentration in healthcare management from the University of Phoenix.
St. Charles Parish Hospital also is expanding access to gastroenterology services with the addition of Dr. Aderonke Akingbola to the hospital’s medical staff. Akingbola earned her medical degree from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine in Nigeria.
Akingbola is board certified in gastroenterology and has been on staff at Ochsner Medical Center – Kenner since October 2008.
