Nationally-known actor Nicoye Banks will be guest speaker for Monday’s ceremony honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
A march will be held at 10 a.m. beginning at West Bank Bridge Park in Luling and continuing to the Eual J. Landry Alternative Program Center in Hahnville.
The ceremony will begin at noon at the center, which will feature Banks, as well as an awards presentation honoring student essays about King, a dance performance and prayer.
