Michael Dwight Sanders Jr., a 2004 graduate of Destrehan High School, earned his master’s degree in government from Harvard University on Thursday, May 29.
While at Harvard, Sanders served as the chair of the communications committee for the Harvard Graduate Student and hosted TEDxHGSE and served as an admissions ambassador amongst other duties.
Additionally, Michael was a research assistant for Sustain Arts, a national arts-based research initiative out of the Hauser Institute for Civil Society at the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
Sanders previosuly earned his bachelor’s degree from Xavier University of Louisiana with high honors, where he was a James S. Kemper Scholar. In 2010 he earned a master’s degree from Louisiana State University.
Michael is the son of Michael Sanders Sr. and Martha Sanders of Laplace.
