Learn a new language at parish libraries

The St. Charles Parish Library is now offering Mango Languages, an online language-learning database, free of charge to its patrons.Mango Languages is used worldwide by travelers, heritage learners, students, language enthusiasts, corporations and schools, and it is available to any St. Charles Parish Library cardholder who wants to study a foreign language.

Mango Languages currently offers 12 language courses – Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Greek, Russian and Mandarin Chinese. There are also English as a Second Language Courses for Spanish, Polish and Brazilian Portuguese speakers.

Mango Languages features a unique comprehensive teaching approach that uses audio and visual cues to assist users in learning a new language. Users can set up personalized accounts to save their progress, and remote online access allows patrons to learn at their convenience from anywhere that they have Internet access.
