Hi-Steppers continue to raise funds for Macy’s New York Trip, LSU ticket raffle Sept. 5

The Hahnville High School Hi-Steppers Parent Club is continuing to raise funds to help pay for the dance team’s trip to New York in November to participate in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. The Parent Club is currently conducting several fundraisers: an ink cartridge and electronics recycling program with collection boxes at several area businesses, as well as a raffle on two LSU season tickets.

The group also hosted a garage sale at the end of June which raised $2,800 with help from the local community.

The Parent Club will begin its latest fundraising effort at Hahnville home football games this fall by selling refillable mugs and drink koozies with a purple and gold “Geaux Tigers” design.

The mugs are 22 ounces and will sell for $6 each or two for $10. The mugs can be refilled at Hahnville football games concession stands for $2. The koozies will sell for $2 each.

The drawing for the LSU season ticket raffle will be held Sat., Sept. 5. Chances are still available and can be purchased from any Hi-Stepper or their parents.
