The regular meeting of the La Belle Fleur Garden Club was held on March 11, 2008 at the home of Alice Miller in Destrehan. The 50/50 was won by Karen Petit.
Winners of the Garden club of the month for March were Kate and Eddie Hymel, club members and Doris and James Waguespack won the community garden.
The community garden volunteers are as follows: week of March 16 – Janie Rome and Cathy Montz, March 23 Gerri Chesne, March 30 Kate Hymel, April 6 – Karen Petit, April 13 –Marie Weiler, April 20 –Louise Hehmeyer and Alice Miller and April 27 Janie Rome and Cathy Montz.
The club Spring Social will be held on April 19 at the home of Jim and Sharyn Laurenc.
It will be a Cajun pot luck supper. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. BYOL.
The April 8 meeting will be held at the home of Odette Bono in Destrehan.
The regular May meeting will be held on May 13 at the Destrehan Wildcat Kitchen.
There will also be a community garden planting on Tuesday, March 25 at 8 a.m.
All members are invited to participate.
