J.B. Martin Middle School has named its Students of the Month for December.
They are: Blaze Team – Caitlyn Boudreaux and Brayden Penick; All-Star Team – Karlie Tamez and Kurt Schexnayder; Phoenix Team – Julianna Stephens and Charles Franks; Thundercats Team – Marcea Nugent and Deshaun Noel; Hornets Team – Thomas Lanata and Jaizee Gilliam, and Cool Cats Team – Annie Schouest and Artiom Austin
The school’s teams of teachers gather monthly to discuss the progress students are making both academically and socially. They focus on how individuals exhibit trustworthiness, honestly, caring, citizenship, respect and fairness.
These characteristics are important to how students grow as individuals during crucial developmental stages as middle schoolers.
