Hurst students aid Norco’s fall festival

NORCO – Nearly 170 students from Hurst Middle School participated in the Norco Elementary Fall Fest, providing entertainment to the students, teachers and parents that were there to enjoy this festive event.

The entire school participates in the fall fest to have fun and raise money for their school programs.

“It is a win-win for HMS and NES” said Hurst band teacher Heather Dahl, “Our students love to go and perform, and while we are there the kids bring money to play a few games and have treats before we have to head back to school.”

The HMS band, choir, cheerleaders and Runnerettes all performed keeping in the Hurst School Spirit.

The Norco Elementary choir performed with the HMS choir, the dancers performed with the band and some sang with the choir.

The cheerleaders did cheers, performed stunts and chanted while the band played.

Many of the cheerleaders and band students also participated with the choir.

All of the program sponsors work hard at Hurst to allow students to be a part of multiple groups.

The Hurst band, choir, dancers and cheerleaders have enjoyed working closely to spread the roadrunner Spirit all over the parish for the community to see.
