Hurst joins 4-H tradition

Harry Hurst Middle School is joining many schools around St. Charles Parish by starting a 4-H club. The school hopes the club will help students to develop character, a healthy lifestyle, and to become responsible, productive citizens in and around their communities.

The members will learn about topics of special interest to them by completing project books, participating in service-learning projects and competing in individual and club contests.

The new club recently elected its 2009-2010 officers. They are pictured above: Princess Vinnett, president; Adonai Britton, secretary/treasurer; Alexa Romero, reporter; and Jonathan Richard, parliamentarian.  This year’s sponsors are Tiffany Hall, Margaret Simon, and Gale Mims.
