The St. Charles Humane Society sponsored “Santa with Pet Pictures” on Dec. 5 at the parish shelter.
Jackie Boudreaux, president of the Humane Society said the turnout was great and they saw all types of dogs, dressed in the cutest doggie Christmas outfits.
“Even the little children pranced around entertaining their doggie while waiting to take their picture with their pet and Santa,” Boudreaux said.
She said these events are a fun way “to bring the community together with their wonderful pets. Santa did an extraordinary job holding large dogs, small dogs, children and one resident even brought a cat.
Boudreaux said this was a great way to kick off the Christmas season “because our pets are a part of our family and they love all the attention.
