Hahnville High School’s homecoming queen was both shocked and honored at her selection. “I am very surprised. I thought Lauren Carlos would be the queen,” said LaTasha Darensbourg of Killona.
On a prediction for the football game, Darensbourg replied, “14-0, Hahnville.” She was close, Hahnville prevailed 21-6 on homecoming night.
HHS principal, Barbara Fuselier spoke highly of Darensbourg. “She’s a great kid. Tonight she really represented Hahnville well. LaTasha is well liked by teachers and students and she makes a great queen,” stated Fuselier.
Also in the homecoming court were, Krysten Brannen, Lauren Carlos, Samantha Chiasson, Neira Hayden, Rachel Hebert, LaShelle Johnson, Megan Vial, Oreal Vu and Megan Waters.
