BOUTTE – The Hahnville High School student council held a “Pie in the Face” fundraiser to help raise money for United Way.
Water jugs with names of HHS teachers Brian Lumar, Eugenie Smith, Shelby Lanier and HHS principal Lorel Gonzales, were placed in the commons area during the lunch periods for students to drop their change in the jug of their choice. At the end of the week, the persons jug with the most money would get a pie in their face.
The total amount collected from all of the jugs was $560.02. A check for this amount will be given to United Way.
The HHS principal was the winner.
