Quiz Bowl students on top in competition

NORCO – The Sacred Heart School Senior Quiz Bowl Team competed in the Brother Martin sponsored National Honor Society Prep Quiz Bowl competition and placed as one of the top four teams in the metropolitan area. Sacred Heart defeated Christian Brothers Academy and St. Pius X to play in the semi-final round. The members of the team include: Sarah Chester, Natalie Kern, Matthew Perque, Ethan Ranck, Chelsea Kirk, Cameron Walsh, Jimmy Antin, Nicholas Melara, Sarah Duhe, Melony Lewis, Cade Landeche, Rachel Moore.
Saints’ Michael Lewis pumps up kids for test

LULING – Raymond K. Smith Middle School was pleased to have Michael Lewis, Saints football player, speak to the students about doing their best on the upcoming Leap/iLeap tests.
Corey Benoit, sixth grader, and ShaKeeva Barnes, seventh grader, were the lucky winners of an autographed football and Michael Lewis jersey.
4-yr-olds stuff animals at Build-A-Bear store

DESTREHAN – Stephen Weber, Principal of Harry Hurst Middle School, recently followed through with his vow to dress in a rabbit suit and give treats out to Hurst students for every day that Hurst had perfect attendance during testing week.
