Hamada Orthodontics strives to give everyone a reason to smile

Hamada Orthodontics strives to give patients a reason to smile in every way.

In addition to helping make a great smile, Dr. Allison Hamada’s practice offers a highly trained, six-member staff that ensures patients have a happy, upbeat and clean environment.

“People have really commented on that,” she said pointing to the sayings and art on the waiting room walls. Some patients have called it one of the friendliest medical offices they’ve ever seen.

Her staff collectively offers more than 35 years of experience in orthodontics.

Hamada considered it the highest form of praise when patients tell others about the service – and they do.It’s part of her continuing effort to provide a professional, comfortable atmosphere where patients are seen on time in a friendly environment.

“We’re all moms, which I feel is a huge thing,” she said of her staff. “We get it from the mom’s perspective and probably the biggest billboard is that we know what it’s like to be a mom and be faced with seeing your child struggling or dealing with different social challenges. I feel we treat the child as an individual, as much as a patient.”

Hamada said she is always pleased with helping ease a child’s apprehension about visiting the orthodontist and especially with seeing his or her smile blossom over the couple of years it usually takes to make happen.Services include dentofacial orthopedics, TMJ/TMD treatments, surgical orthodontics, braces and adult treatments.

“One of the things that I feel sets us apart is that we’re committed to earning our patient’s trust,” she said. “We do that by caring and communicating. We promise to treat every child as though he or she were our own. We promise to explain every step of the way. We promise to work with everybody’s dentist so they don’t have to, and then I call the patient to explain what we discussed.”

Also, the American Association of Orthodontics recommends all children be screened by age 7. She said early identification of a potential problem can help avoid losing permanent teeth.

“Poor teeth can result in bullying,” Hamada added. “Some children are picked on for appearance problems with teeth.”Offering a positive atmosphere is part of her effort to be a “bright point of their day” and get the orthodontics that can help them keep healthy, attractive teeth. Convenience is another benefit with before- and after-school hours, as well as offering interest-free payment plans.

“Our goal is to make them the hero,” Hamada said of her patients. “They’re here because they want their smile improved. So we want to take them from Point A all the way to the finish line. We’re just here to help them accomplish their goals.”

Started in 2004, Hamada said she considers the many referrals her practice gets as “the best compliment we could ever get.”
