The winner of this year’s blood drive competition is Hahnville High School with a total of 85 donors and Destrehan High School with a total of 61 donors. When the blood bank combines these numbers, they collected a total of 146 units of blood, which can create up to 438 blood components and can help save that many lives as well. HHS had the most donors and will be awarded $500 and the runner-up school will receive $250. Organizers of the event thanked all who donated, including those who tried but were unable to donate.
