Friday (Aug. 2) marked a day of celebration at Frank’s Supermarket in Des Allemands. A ribbon cutting was held to commemorate the announcement of new ownership as Tara and Jacob Guidry and Jay and Tammy Pitre took the helm.
Following the ribbon ceremony, the supermarket, which has been in business for the past 40 years, held a customer appreciation event that featured free jambalaya, hot dogs and hamburgers, a live performance by Kerry Thibodaux and his band, a DJ and a spacewalk for children.
