Former Hahnville High School student receives university awards

Hahnville High School 2009 graduate Hunter Robinson was recently honored at the Southeastern Louisiana University’s Division of Student Affairs awards banquet.

Hunter received the Vice President’s Award of Excellence, the Greek Man of the Year Award along with the honor of being selected as the DSA’s Outstanding Man of the Year. These are three of the highest honors DSA gives, with the Man of the Year being the highest.

Hunter is a graduating senior with a 3.6 GPA and is majoring in Communications.

During his time at Southeastern, he has served on the Student Government Association as a Senator, a Justice and as SGA Elections Chairman. He was also president of the College Republicans and served as a Division of Student Affairs Leadership Ambassador. He is a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society, as well as the National Broadcasting Society.

He is a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, where he has held many positions, including President, Vice-President, New Member Educator, Risk Manager and Fundraising Chairman. Hunter has already accepted a position upon graduation with Delta Tau Delta to serve as a Chapter Consultant, where he will be responsible for a particular area of the country and will travel from chapter to chapter advising them on their operations.
