DHS is “No Place for Hate”

Destrehan High School was recognized by the Anti-Defamation League as a “No Place for Hate” school.

The driving force behind this recognition was the work of the school’s Peer Support Leaders, a student organization under the guidance of Donette Jumonville, with the goal of improving the character education of Destrehan High students.

Ms. Bonnie Goldblum, the South-Central No Place for Hate coordinator presented the award to the DHS PSL 2 class along with Jumonville, the PSL Sponsor and Assistant Principal Jason Madere.

PSL has made Anti-Bullying a central part of the mission of their class and has done many activities around school to help promote tolerance and raise awareness to bullying and abuse.
