Children’s department of FBC in Luling send goods to local homeless

The Children’s department of First Baptist Church in Luling recently chose to forgo their usual Christmas party and work for missions here and abroad.

Wishing to be “the hands and feet of Christ”, they raised $400 towards the purchase of a goat to be used for milk, not eaten, and a share in a clean water well for a village determined by worldvisiongifts.org.

The children under the leadership of adult mentors Melanie Seal, Ross Champion, Cynthia Corley and Bethany Whitney, also collected snacks, tooth paste, tooth brushes, deodorant, soap, shampoo, winter hats, gloves, socks as well as interview clothes for men and women who go to the Baptist Friendship House needing help.
