Bayou Gauche resident authors children’s book

Local writer Denice Petit, of Bayou Gauche, has published her first children’s book entitled Twenty-Two Turtles.

The book is a story of 22 turtles taking a long trip to Texas and then on to Thailand. Along with the educational aspect of the letter T and the number 22 the reader and listener to go beyond its’ pages to a land far far away. Petit wrote this book in honor of her son Joshua Paul Petit 1977-1997 who attended Luling Elementary School and whose life and smile inspires all to go beyond. The Joshua Fountain at the school is in memory of his undying love for life. A book signing will be announced at a later time.
