KNOW THE LAWS. The St. Charles Council On Aging and the Friloux-Robertson American Legion Post 509 hosted a fair for area seniors on free legal assistance and other aid available to seniors in the parish.
Highlights included: a breakfast social; information booths for Capitol Legal Services on will and estate laws, Senior RX Program, Louisiana Department of Insurance, St. Charles Parish Council on Aging and Civil Law Attorney Fen Swann; one on one consultation, displays and literature, a jambalaya lunch and refreshments.
Presentations included: Free legal assistance and resources by Margaret Jefferson of Capitol Area Legal Services, Wills and Succession by Attorney JoEdna Roberts of Capitol Area Legal Services, Civil Law Briefing and the St. Charles Bar Association by Fenwick A. Swann III, Attorney At Law, and Medicare and Social Security Changes by Margaret Jefferson.
