Arts and Humanities Council now accepting grant applications

The River Region Arts and Humanities Council, or RRAHC, has 2011 grants available for schools, theatre groups, libraries, art guilds and other non profit organizations interested in presenting arts programs or humanities projects.

Grants are also available for individuals who are pursuing developmental activities in the area of the arts and humanities.  2011 grants wil1 not exceed $1,000 per applicant.   Applications are available on online at www.rrahc.org, by contacting RRAHC at Post Office Box 1411 in LaPlace or by calling the 2011 Grant Committee Chairperson Judy Mackles at (985)652-2261.

Applications must be post marked by Oct. 9, 2010 and received by the committee by Oct. 16.  Grant recipients will receive their awards during a reception at RRAHC office in LaPlace during the 2011 RRAHC Annual Meeting of the membership on Jan. 5, 2011.  Last year’s 2010 RRAHC Grant Committee presented 38 grants or sponsorships totaling approximately $35,000.
