The St. Charles Art Guild held its Adult Art Fair Oct. 15 at the St. Charles United Methodist Church, 1905 Ormond Blvd. Guild members hold their meetings on the first Tuesdays of the school months at 9:30 a.m., also at St. Charles United Methodist Church.
At the September meeting, Tammy Gaulter, photo artist from Destrehan, demonstrated effective matting and framing art. Gaulter’s work can be seen at the Dutch Alley Artist’s Co-op in New Orleans’ French Quarter.
September “Artists of the Month” winners also were named: First place, Kerry Allen with her oil titled “Lake Pontchartrain, second place, Donna Nassar, with her watercolor of a white horse, and third place, Cynthia Duck, who created an impressionistic watercolor of a flower. Their work can be seen at Southern Latte’ Café in Luling.
