Qualifying parents can now register their 4-year-olds for a chance at free placement in private school pre-kindergarten programs for the coming year. A limited number of seats are available at Boutte Christian Academy.
Qualifying requirements for parents and kids include:
•Students must turn four years old on or before Sept. 30, 2011.
•Students must be current on all medical immunizations.
•Participating families must have an annual household income of less than $29,420 for a family of two; $37,060 for a family of three; $44,700 for a family of four; $52,340 for a family of five; and $59,980 for a family of six.
The program is made possible by Louisiana’s Nonpublic Schools Early Childhood Development Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program.
BCA adheres to the developmental philosophy outlined by the National Associations for the Education of Young Children. Developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education are proven to result in long-term positive outcomes for children.
The BCA program includes development of cognitive, social and emotional, language and literacy, creative arts, and health and physical concepts and skills of the individual child.
