An inspiring message

St. Rose native Curtis Johnson spoke at the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Organization’s annual march and rally Monday.

Johnson, the former head football coach of Tulane and a former New Orleans Saints assistant coach, said he sought to inspire people to heed King’s teachings of peace and to not let the progress the civil rights leader helped cultivate go to waste.
