JoAnn Proctor giving Purple Backpacks to Alpha Daughters of Zion for victims of Domestic Violence. Proctor started “Purple Backpacks for Domestic Violence” with a grant from LaPlace Rotary and purchased 20 backpacks. She also purchased basic supplies to include in them along with a $10 gift card to place in each bag. This project stems from a YouTube video of Kerry Washington speaking as the AllState Ambassador chosen to design a purple purse. Proctor is also on the Speakers Bureau for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
