Alice Mae and Hemes (Bobod) Dufrene celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 28. To their surprise, their marriage vows were renewed on April 30 at Richard and Linda Chiasson’s home with Mr. L.J. Frickey officiating.
The event was witnessed by family, friends and all their living brothers and sisters. Three of the persons in attendance at the ceremony were part of the original wedding party. The party was given by their children, daughter-in-laws, son-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Those family members in attendance were Paul, Rachelle and Madison Johnson, Mitchell, Brandy and Michelle Folse, Richard and Linda Chiasson, Andrew, April, Brandt and Kailen Dufrene. Alice Mae and Hemes would like to extend their sincere thanks to all who attended and helped in any way to make their anniversary such a special occasion.
