The River Region Arts and Humanities Council awarded $30,000 in grants and sponsorships to 50 organizations in the River Parishes at the group’s annual meeting. In attendance were over 100 RRAHC members and grant recipients.
The 2008 RRAHC president, Paula Adams Ates presented the 2008 officers and board members and the 2009 officers-elect and the 2009 board.
Thanks for her years of service to RRAHC were given to outgoing board member, Debbie Kelly.
New Board Members Cheryl Radosta and Monica Robinet Joseph were introduced.
RRAHC presented Susan Ferrara, who serves as artistic director of the River Region Ballet, with the 2008 Angelus Award for her contribution to the art of dance.
Judy Mackles and Ates, representing the RRAHC Grants Committee presented 50 grants or sponsorships totaling $30,000.00.
