While this week marks nine months since Destrehan resident Jace Martin was last seen, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. James Grimaldi said there are no updates in the case and Martin remains missing.
“The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to follow-up on any leads and investigate, but there are unfortunately no updates on the case,” Grimaldi said.
Martin, a 30-year-old white male, was last seen on February 11 around 8 p.m.
At the time of Martin’s disappearance, Grimaldi said no foul play was suspected in the case, but that police were concerned for Martin’s safety due to statements he made prior to his disappearance implying he may harm himself.
“We initially requested the public’s assistance on February 13,” Grimaldi stated in March. “Since then, we have not had much progress in locating Jace.”
Martin is described as approximately 5’9”, 190 pounds with a medium build. He has black hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion. Martin was last seen wearing gray pants, black shoes, a black hoodie and a black baseball cap.
If anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Jace Martin, or has possibly seen him, they are urged to contact Detective Kevin Tennison of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-783-1135 or call 985-783-6807.
