Spectacular fireworks, live band set for the 4th

St. Charles Parish will celebrate July 4th with spectacular fireworks and live music on Tuesday, July 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling. The fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.

This event promises to be even bigger than years past.
Steve Sirmon, public information officer, said this year’s celebration will center around the parish’s bicentennial year and will include a $15,000 firework display.

“Because it’s our bicentennial year, our power technics people who do our display will put on something special,” Sirmon said.

Sirmon booked a band for the party.

“The Bucktown All Stars out of Metairie will be performing,” he said.

“They are a popular local band that plays a variety of music.”

There will be face painting, food, and drinks. Glow necklaces will be passed out to all children.
