Timeless ballet on stage March 8
DESTREHAN – The River Region Ballet will present the full-length ballet Cinderella on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at Destrehan High School located at #1 Wildcat Lane.
Tickets are $15 and will be available for purchase at the door or in advance by calling 985-764-7678 or emailing riverregionballet@cox.net.

New Orleans RV show in Kenner this week
NEW ORLEANS – An RV tradition in the south – the 17th annual New Orleans Spring RV Show & Camping – will showcase over 200 makes and models of recreational vehicles at the Pontchartrain Center, Feb. 29 through March 2.
Show hours are Friday 12-8, Saturday 10-7 and Sunday 11-5.
Admission is $7 for adults, $2 for kids 6-15 and free to children under 6.

HHS cheerleader & mascot tryouts
BOUTTE – There will be an informational meeting about cheerleading and mascot tryouts for the 2008-09 school year on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the Hahnville High School auditorium.
Those interested in trying out who are unable to attend the meeting should contact Ms. Candice Reed at creed@stcharles.k12.la.us after the meeting to obtain a packet of tryout information.
A mandatory instructional workshop will be held on April 7 through 10 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the school gym.
Tryouts will be held April 11 at 3 p.m.

Memorial blood drive set at Luling church
LULING – The Bible Center Church at 422 Barton Ave. will host a Memorial Blood Drive on Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in honor of the late Kyle Price Bergeron who passed away from Leukemia Dec. 30, 2006 at the age of 18.
If you have been deferred from donating blood in the past you may be eligible to donate at this time since the deferred criteria has changed considerably.
If you should have any questions concerning eligibility contact the Blood Center at 504-887-3833.
You must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 lbs. and have a proper ID.
