Alexander unqualified to be vets secretary

Here’s what Bobby Jindal said when he was running for governor in 2007: “Ensure that cabinet secretaries…are unquestionably ethical.”

CBS’s “60 Minutes” questioned the ethics of Louisiana Secretary of Veterans Affairs Rodney Alexander.Alexander paid his two daughters $130,000 from his political action committee.

Apparently, Alexander’s ethics are not unquestionable. What will Jindal do — nothing. Jindal is infamous for saying one thing and doing another.State universities not priority for legesAs the leges dole out pay raises for state employees, it appears that the only ones who are being omitted from the raises are the faculty and staff of the state colleges and universities.

We recently learned that the leges got an “auto-magic” pay raise and now we learned the lege staff got a raise effective Sept. 1.

Even NGOs (non-government organizations) are a higher priority.  Community and technical colleges received $250 million in capital improvements from the leges during the 2013 session while the higher ed buildings are falling down.Maybe Bobby Jindal will privatize all the colleges and universities so that they can get funding as NGOs.
