St. Rose man accused of stabbing roommate to death

Jayson Bynum has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Brentley Anderson around 4 p.m. today (Sept. 17).

The men, living in the same residence in a St. Rose apartment complex, reportedly had argued prior to the incident, according to the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office. Deputies called to the scene entered the residence at No. 2 Summerton Drive and found Anderson with multiple stab wounds. He was unresponsive.

Anderson, 38, of Las Vegas, Nev., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bynum, 31, was located in front of the apartment complex, where he was detained, according to the Sheriff’s Office. A 911 caller had identified him as being involved in the incident. He was being held at Nelson Coleman Correctional Center as of today.
