Dave Anthony Turner is accused of forcing his way into the Norco residence of a former acquaintance around 9:30 a.m. Monday, raping the woman and strangling her until she blacked out, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Turner then forced the woman into a vehicle and drove on I-10 towards New Orleans.

EMS picked her up and transported her to a local hospital where she suffered an open fractured ankle, which required surgery, Yoes said.

She also had several abrasions and lacerations throughout her body.
