Luling man found guilty of sexual battery of a minor

A Luling man could serve up to 99 years in jail after being convicted of committing sexual battery of a minor.

Fabian Celestine, 31, was convicted of one count of oral sexual battery with the victim being under the age of 13.

Celestine will serve a minimum of 25 years for the crime. 99 years is the maximum sentence. The 25 year minimum must be served without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

Judge Lauren Lemmon set a post-conviction bond on Celestine at $200,000 and ordered he be taken in to custody.

A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered by the judge and sentencing is set for May 19.

Celestine is being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center.
