Police are searching for a Boutte man in connection with a deadly shooting that took place in Hahnville Friday morning.
The shooting ocurred at 12:30 a.m. at Butt Cuts Bar, located on Joe Louis Lane. When St. Charles Parish sheriff’s deputies arrived at the bar they found 23-year-old David Scott, of Houston, Texas, lying dead on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. Another victim was shot in the foot and was treated and released from St. Charles Parish Hospital.
Detectives are calling 35-year-old Larry Thompson, of 168 Boutte Estates Drive in Boutte, a suspect because he had an earlier dispute with Scott over a female friend. Thompson is wanted for second-degre murder and aggravated battery.
He might be driving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala with license plate number XSN832.
Thompson should be considered armed and dangerous.
