Gun fired, two arrested for assault

Stemmed from altercation with victim

Two men were arrested after an altercation escalated between a victim and themselves in St. Charles Parish that led to the firing of a gun.

Laquinn Ingram, 33, of 326 Trailsway Drive in Hahnville and Ray Francois, 37, of 252 East 14th St. in Edgard, were arrested Sept. 28 after an argument allegedly led to Ingram pointing a firearm at the victim, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. A struggle ensued and in the fray, the gun was fired and Ingram and Francois apparently fled the scene.

The two men later turned themselves in to police at Nelson Coleman Correctional Center.

Ingram was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal use of a weapon. Francois was charged with principle to aggravated assault.

Ingram is being held at Nelson Coleman Correctional Center on $30,000 bond. A court arraignment is set for Oct. 15. Francois was released on bond.
