Arrest made in Destrehan shooting case

A 17-year-old St. Rose male has been arrested in relation to a late February shooting in Destrehan.
According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, on February 28, deputies responded to a call of gunshots on Carriage Lane in Destrehan, just past 12:30 AM. Police officers arrived on scene and determined that no one was injured, however, they did locate damage to a vehicle and a residence in the 90 block of Carriage Lane suspected to be related to the shooting.
During the course of the investigation, sufficient probable cause was obtained allowing detectives to secure a warrant in the 29th J.D.C. for the arrest of the juvenile suspect  for two counts of aggravated criminal damage to property and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
On March 24,  detectives from the Juvenile Investigations Division located and arrested the 17-year-old suspect.
