New medical services come to East Bank

Officials cut ribbon for Plantation View Medical Offices

Saying St. Charles Parish was “blessed with the best medical community,” John Landry, chairman of the parish’s Hospital Board, cut the ribbon March 23 officially opening Plantation View Medical Offices in Destrehan.

The ceremony was held last Wednesday at the offices site. Landry was joined in the ceremony by Parish President Larry Cochran, members of the Parish Council and hospital officials including current CEO Anthony DiGerolamo (above right) and former CEO Federico “Fred” Martinez of St. Charles Parish Hospital.

The 72,000-square-foot medical office building at 13100 River Road includes Urgent Care Medical Services (above left) and Primary Care with additional services to soon include OB/GYN, pediatrics, urology and pharmacy services.

According to Cochran, “Having access to healthcare on the East Bank will bring job growth and new economic development to our community. Since this building also features non-medical retail opportunities, we believe it will spur development for existing businesses looking to expand, as well as for new businesses looking to relocate.”
