NORCO – The Oldies But Goodies dance and social club will getting down with freedom at a dance on July 17 at the KC Home in Norco. The dance theme is “Tribute to our veterans” and the meal with be hot dogs with chili. Entry is $5 and participants are asked to bring a side item, salad or dessert. Parishioners heading to the polls on Saturday will decide whether or not to approve an increase in taxes for St. Charles Parish Hospital and if disabled veterans can double their homestead exemptions.
In a letter sent to area newspapers, Parish President V.J. St. Pierre said he will not take advantage of a measure that would allow disabled veterans to double their homestead exemptions if the move is approved by parish voters.
