Kenner theatre holds auditions

KENNER – The Rivertown Repertory Theatre will hold a second round of auditions for the opening of their 2008-2009 Season of Premieres with Miss Saigon on Saturday, June 7 at 1 p.m. at the theater located at 325 Minor St.

Director Butch Caire is looking for male singers and dancers aged 16 to 45 from all ethic origins and female singers and dancers aged 16-35 of Asian heritage.

All should have good singing voices and be able to move well on stage.

Each person should also prepare a song to sing of 16 bars for the rehearsal. For more information, call the director at 504-481-8274 or the theater at 504-468-7221.

New Orleans RV show in Kenner this week

NEW ORLEANS – An RV tradition in the south – the 17th annual New Orleans Spring RV Show & Camping – will showcase over 200 makes and models of recreational vehicles at the Pontchartrain Center, Feb. 29 through March 2.

Show hours are Friday 12-8, Saturday 10-7 and Sunday 11-5.
Admission is $7 for adults, $2 for kids 6-15 and free to children under 6.

Horror classic opens on Kenner stage

KENNER – Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show opens on Friday, Oct. 19 at 11 p.m. and runs through Oct. 31 at the Rivertown Repertory Theatre located at 325 Minor St. in Kenner.

Tickets: $20 for adults 18 and older. There will be a cash bar.
