Arrests
• Nivaldo Lopez, 41, was arrested May 19 in Boutte and charged with disturbing the peace – engaging in a fistic encounter and simple battery. He was a fugitive.
• Elizabeth Cruz, 61, was arrested May 19 in Luling and charged with hit and run driving with serious injury or death, violation of a stop sign, driver failure to exercise due care and negligent injuring.
• Julien Robinson, 22, was arrested May 18 in Luling and charged with illegal possession of stolen things, security required, switched plates and owner to secure registration.
• Amiya Brown, 22, was arrested May 18 in Luling and charged with simple battery.
• Matthew Brown, 36, was arrested May 14 in St. Rose and charged with hit and run – no personal injury (two counts).
• Jante Knight, 27, was arrested May 15 in Norco and charged with attempted simple battery of an inhabited dwelling and disturbing the peace – appearing in an intoxicated condition.
